Bringing their own breed of brutality to the table is Michigan’s own The Yellow Sign with self-released EP, Ancient. These guys mean business, delivering crushing guitar riffs and seriously brutal vocals with such an impact you won’t know what hit you. Ancient has a dark, gloomy atmosphere with progressive elements and melodies that run somewhat in the background but ensure this is not just another simple death metal album.

As they experiment with and refine their technique we can surely expect good things from The Yellow Sign in the future. For a band just appearing on the scene these guys have already been proving themselves worthy and have shared the stage with such notable bands as The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, and Suicide Silence. If you’re a fan of death metal, keep an eye on this band.
